Mission: Love Your Self

Definition of Self:

  • A person or thing referred to with respect to complete individuality: one’s own self.
  • The essential qualities distinguishing one person from another.
  • Your consciousness of your own identity.

“You can explore the universe for somebody who is more deserving of your love and affection than yourself, and you will not find that person anywhere.”

Be Part of the Mission: Love Your Self Street Team!

Mission: Love Your Self is an educational program created and organized by the CT NOW Foundation. Joining the Street Team is free and open to all residents of CT. The goal of the program is to fight back against unfair media standards that try desperately to inform how we see ourselves. The program strives to encourage women & girls to love themselves intrinsically & holistically for the unique and beautiful individuals that they are.

How does the Street Team act?

The Street Team takes action by posting notes in bathrooms, books stores, on bulletin boards and generally anywhere they can spread the message of self-love. They also snap photos of their messages and send them to the CT NOW Foundation for inclusion in the Foundation’s blog, which you can view here: www.speakoutsister.blogspot.com. Additionally, Street Team members can participate in organized actions across Connecticut.

All photos should be emailed to SpeakOut@now-ct.org for inclusion in our blog!

How do I sign up for the Street Team?

To sign up for the Street Team email michelle@now-ct.org. You will then be given instructions on how to be an active member of Mission: Love Your Self.
